Dr. Paul Ziadé is a Director at TSE. He is an associate professor at the University of Calgary. Paul obtained his PhD in mechanical engineering at the University of Toronto, specializing in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), transitional aerodynamic flows, machine learning/AI, and flow control. Paul also spent 4 years in the Canadian nuclear industry, including at Atomic Energy of Canada.
Dr. Craig Johansen is a Director at TSE. He is a professor and research chair in aerospace engineering at the University of Calgary. He worked at the NASA Langley Research Center on high-speed aerodynamics and propulsion using laser diagnostics. In 2011, he created the AEROCORE group to study and develop novel propulsion systems. His PhD focused on pulse detonation engines and he has an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School.
Colin Hill is a Director at TSE. He obtained his PhD in the AEROCORE Group at the University of Calgary. His research focus is on wax-based liquefying hybrid rocket fuels. This has seen him involved with numerous static firings of a 4-kN paraffin-nitrous hybrid rocket and with several sounding rocket launches. He has a BASc (Distinction) in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Calgary.
